Part 1 (Interview)

• Do you like listening to music?
• What kind of music do you enjoy most?
• When do you usually listen to music?
• Did you listen to a lot of music when you were a child?
• Have your tastes in music changed over time?
• Do you prefer listening to live music or recorded music?
• Have you ever been to a live concert?

Part 2 (Cue Card)

Describe a line (or a few words) that you remember from a poem or song. You should say:

• what it is
• which song or poem it is from
• how you knew it

and explain how you feel about it

Part 3 (Discussion)

• What can people learn from songs or poems?
• Do you think it is easier for children to learn a song or poem than adults? Why?
• Do you think children enjoy the rhythm of songs or poems? Why?
• Are you good at memorising things?
• How can memorising songs or poems benefit students?
• Why do some people find it difficult to memorise information?
