IELTS Speaking Test

Part 1 (Interview)

• Do you live alone or with other people?
• How much time do you usually spend at home during the week?
• What do you usually do when you’re at home?
• When was the last time someone gave you a compliment?
• How did you feel when you received it?
• Do you think parents should compliment their children often?
• Has a teacher ever complimented you on something?
• Do you like giving compliments to others?

Part 2 (Cue Card)

Describe the most fun or interesting person you know. You should say:

• who this person is
• how you know them
• what makes them fun or interesting to be around

and explain why you think they are the coolest person you know.

Part 3 (Discussion)

• How can children develop or improve their intelligence?
• What kinds of games are most beneficial for children’s mental growth?
• In what ways does playing chess help people think more logically?
• Do you think creativity is as important as intelligence?
• How has artificial intelligence influenced people’s everyday lives?
• Do you think technology will ever replace human intelligence completely?
